You have the option to take this test on the 1st and 3rd Monday* of each month at 7:00 pm (December 2011) and 6:00pm (Starting January 2012)   and on one Saturday of each month at 1:30 pm.  You will be given two 3-minute practice tests and two 5-minute actual tests.  Your certificate will be issued upon completion of the test.  Please call (916) 686-7783 to pre-register for next testing date.

The total test battery consists of five tests:  writing, social studies, science, reading and mathematics.  On the day of your test, arrive 15 minutes early.  You must show a valid photo i.d.  LATE ARRIVALS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!  Should you arrive late, you will be required to reschedule and pay the $15 NO SHOW FEE.  If, for any reason, you are unable to make your scheduled date, you MUST call our office to cancel your appointment before noon on theFriday prior to your test.  Again, there is a NO SHOW FEE OF $15.  This fee is figured on a per-test basis. 

Fee:  $200* ($175 for students enrolled in GED preparation classes at EGACE who have completed 40 hours of class work and required assessments as verified by the instructor)
* or $45 per exam ($40 per exam for eligible students)
Retake Fee:  $45 per exam ($40 for eligble students)
