Accounting Basics Workshop
This is a great class for the small business owner who needs a better understanding of financial
record keeping. In this class you will learn how to keep financial records using Quickbooks. You will
learn about the balance sheet, income statement, cash or accrual basis accounting methods, debits/
credits and how they affect financial statements.
No prerequisites.

QuickBooks - Level I
Students will learn how to use items, classes and
account; input purchase and sales transactions
using check registers, credit card accounts, petty
cash accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable;
and reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
Prerequisite: Accounting Basics Workshop and Windows 7 or equivalent strongly recommended.

QuickBooks - Level II
Students will learn how to set up and use QuickBooks for payroll, physical inventory and
sales tax. Explore the estimates and time tracking features and the use of classes to categorize data.
Students will enter general journal entries, customize QuickBooks reports, create custom templates,
and close the books.
Prerequisite: QuickBooks Level I and Accounting
Basics or equivalent experience.
